Doug Harrington, CPC

Founder and President

Doug established Austin Professional Search in 2001.  Since then he has earned the CPC designation through NAPS, the national industry association.  His prior experience includes 15 years with two "start-up" companies in the technology industry where he was Vice President and Officer responsible for Global Sales, Marketing and Customer Support.  Each of these companies successfully completed an IPO and achieved market leadership positions with Doug's guidance and support.  His earlier career was with Xerox, where he held various sales and management positions for 12 years.  A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Doug attended Saint Mary's University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree- Marketing and Finance in 1971.  Doug and his wife, Charlene and their children, Jeff and Lisa moved to Texas in 1984.  Doug enjoys all sports, especially golf.

Tucker Stipe

Vice President

Tucker joined Austin Professional Search in 2002, after nearly 30 years in the semiconductor industry.  He began his career in the 1970's in wafer fab engineering roles at ITT Semiconductor, RCA Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices and GE Semiconductor.  In 1987 he made a career change into sales and sales management roles for Semitool, Kinetics and Advanced Energy.  Tucker has chosen to apply his vast experience in the technology industry and the relationships that he has developed over the years to the professional search business with a specialization in the semiconductor industry.  Tucker and his wife, Valerie, both originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, first moved to Austin in 1979.  Tucker's career advancement then took them to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1982 for nearly 18 years.  They returned to Austin in 1999.  Tucker and his wife both enjoy playing golf in their spare time.

Jason LaFountain

Recruiter

Jason joined Austin Professional Search in January of 2006.  He began his career in the semiconductor industry in 2000, serving in various lead technical roles at BOC Edwards.  In 2005 he was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos.  While at Texas State University he obtained a minor in Military Science and was a member of the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps.  Originally from Monroe, Michigan, Jason moved to the Texas gulf coast in 1985 and has lived in the Austin area for the past 12 years.   Jason enjoys golf, running, hiking, camping, gold panning and spending time in the outdoors.
